Lord – it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything on my author site. I don’t even know if there’s anyone here but something happened that I have to share. The incredibly talented author and fantastic friend, mentor, animal lover, prankster, (the list goes on and on) Carolyn Haines gave me an early Christmas present. She came up with a great idea to help get me out of my self-promotion rut (told you she’s a fantastic friend). Priya, her wonderful assistant took care of the technical details and they shared my info on Carolyn’s newsletter. Y’all – in the first couple of hours, over one hundred of Carolyn’s readers downloaded a free copy of Junebug Fischer! Isn’t that something?
If y’all click the link to her newsletter you can download it too (thanks to Priya). If you’re not interested in Junebug – please click it anyway. You’ll get a kick out of Carolyn’s sense of humor and find out all kinds of interesting stuff – like a whole list of books you’ll want to add to your reading list. If I were you I’d start with The Jexville Chronicles. You’ll not only love the writing – you’ll also be supporting Good Fortune Farm Refuge. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of these books go to help the animals there. But if fun cozy mysteries are your thing check out the ZINNIA SHOP.
Dang…what was going on the last time I posted? I published a novella this year, Oliver that I’m really proud of and an online monthly magazine, WELL READ. I hope you’ll check them out. If you’re a fan of William Gay – please have a look! I had the honor of publishing a four-part series on William thanks to Dawn Major, Michael White, and the members of TEAM GAY. You’ll find all sorts of interesting information including some previously unpublished work and a deep dive into William’s artwork and how his art impacted his writing – or vice versa. I could talk about that all day – lucky for you my pups are begging me to take them for a walk. Luckier still – you can check out the articles starting in September’s issue through December and read for yourself from the experts :).
I wondered where you’d run off to! Welcome back!
Hey Mandy! Your writing makes me smile!
In circles 🙂 but I’m back! Thanks for the warm welcome!
